GSTCal is run by Simsim and offers free calculators and guides about Australian goods and services tax (GST). We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Cookies and local storage
Section titled Cookies%20and%20local%20storageCookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Local storage is similar, but stays in your browser.
- Theme setting. GSTCal stores your light or dark mode choice in your browser’s local storage. It isn’t sent to us.
- Analytics cookies. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, sets cookies to count visits and see how pages are used.
- Advertising cookies. Google AdSense sets cookies to show and measure ads. See the advertising section below.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators work without them. Our Cookie Policy has more detail.
Analytics
Section titled AnalyticsGSTCal uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your approximate location (from your IP address) and your device and browser. We use it only in aggregate, to see which calculators and guides are useful. We don’t use it to identify you.
Google processes this data under Google’s privacy policy. You can stop Google Analytics collecting data about you with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Section titled Advertising%20and%20Google%20AdSenseGSTCal uses Google AdSense to show ads. In this section, “third-party vendors” means Google and the other ad companies that take part in Google’s advertising network.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
These cookies and web beacons may collect your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy. Read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s advertising policies.
Opting out of personalised ads doesn’t remove ads. The ads you see will be based on the page you’re reading instead of your past visits.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics and personalised advertising cookies are used.
